Faceless

This world, that leans on tight schedules, horrible work conditions, stupid hierarchy and insane bosses, has driven more and more people exhausted, myself included. If it would be my choosing, I’d just go to work, do my part and get back to home. That’s it. Why I had to wake up every morning to information, I must perform and execute everything great or I’m doomed by my bosses and workmates. This is pretty much grocery stores in a nutshell.
Yeah… I used to work at grocery stores… I even have my education for it. I have regretted my decision. Stores would be a great places to work at, if done right, but no. Time always runs out whatever you do or how much and fast you do. I and we, got always lashed by our bosses. I have gotten a praise twice in my life from a boss. And it was completely elsewhere than in grocery store!
Even though I clearly had a degree and was good at what I did, it was never enough. We got to be mocked and annoyed by faceless things called customers, who think less of you, listen to that horrible store music all day long and sad news every 30 minutes (which almost drove me insane, because it impacted to my creativity and way of thinking), get along with a few workmates, even though we clearly needed more hands to help us and last, but not least, low pay.
World doesn’t want to help you to achieve your dreams or even have dreams. When you think about it, when you work for someone, you are just fulfilling his or her dream (or compulsion). You are just a faceless thing. No one cares about you, because they are currently trying to grow higher and higher by doing more and thinking less. Yup, just get one of those long ass educations, that drives you exhausted, poor and zombified, before you can even CLEAN A FREAKING TOILET with minimum wage. To a world you are less than a pawn. Just a piece of a pawn. In reality, you have so much potential to follow your dreams and not go as the world says you must go.
Think about it, what if we still had mentors like in the old times? When someone is mentoring you, he or she can share secrets and wisdom related to your work, like no mass produced teacher could. It would be much more interesting, fun and energising. Have you ever seen medieval time swords, armor and furniture for example? Aren’t they handy and cool looking? They didn’t have a mass produced education system, like we have in today's society. They thought, adapted, practiced and followed their passion. Of course there was the world’s pressure too, but at least they got to think, what they were doing.
To a world, nothing’s more dangerous, than a human being, who knows him/herself and thinks more, before doing anything and questions different things. But to God, it is a joy. How else we can learn anything worthwhile? Everything feels like we are living in a grave. We live there and then we are buried alive.
I like to work and in the end, you like to work too. It gives a life meaning. But what are these insane, specific, soulless jobs we have to do? And what are these impassive, unethical and cheapskate bosses? Bosses need to be great leaders, great at giving advices, critic, encourage and make use of one’s strengths. So many of them don’t care about you. They don’t know their workers. How are you supposed to lead masses of faceless workers, who signed up to do their required jobs, expecting to be noticed by their great deeds? If you never say anything good about them and just complain, of course that person loses his or her touch in the end! Why should we even try, if we are not being appreciated by working for you?
Everything is aimless nowadays workwise. I can’t get a job, because it requires me to have previous experience from that area of work. How can I even start in that field, if everyone wants previous experience? Why can’t I be mentored? Why no one has time to guide me anymore? Why are everyone busy all the time? This is just a huge mess and my mind is getting dizzy by just thinking about it.
One thing I know for sure in times like these. We aren’t faceless objects, even if world tends to think otherwise. God is here to help us out.
