This song came to be, when I thought to myself, after getting inspired by my wife: ‘’What would it look like, when all of your traumas, bad memories and troubling thoughts, would become a monster?’’ All of this songs lyrics and the picture is symbolism of that. The feeling when you are trying to do something, anything at all and then, all of a sudden, you get sucked into this nightmare, where you live all those memories through once again.
The worst kind of attacks happen at nights and mornings. The feeling when you can’t escape it. It always stalks you, wherever you go and strikes you down, when you least expect it. It’s always there and you can’t do anything about it. It’s a horrifying feeling when you think about it. You just stand there with a blank stare having all of this nightmare inside your head and everyone just assumes, that you’re just thinking some deep thoughts. I hate it. I hate this monster.
Now it’s time to show this creature to everyone. I won’t be completely free, never will be, but this really helped me to get it out for all to see and hear. Some people may ask: ‘’If God is real and loving, why doesn’t He remove that monster from your life?’’ Well… the answer is pretty simple in the end. I couldn’t have done this album without it. I never have been more willing to fight against evil. I have more sympathy and understanding for people, who feel the same way. I love doing all of these nightmarish pictures and songs from a certain trauma or thought. I love to use imagination to let it all out. It’s been a pleasure to learn from it and get the truth out for your pleasure as well! Mouse can always turn around and start killing the cats.
Funny story: I had this project with a different name and just completely abandoned in FL Studio. When me and my wife were still dating, we decided to sit down and listen to some of these projects. Then this came along through the files. We listened to it and then my wife said: ‘’This sounds like a cat and mouse kinda situation.’’ And thus, it inspired me to continue this project and to give it a meaning.
